In pictures: Kashmiri’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations Srinagar: Barring Srinagar, where the historic Jamia Masjid remained closed for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers for the 5th consecutive year, prayers were offered across Jammu and Kashmir and the festival was marked by traditional fervour and gaiety. Thousands of people had gathered to offer prayers at various locations including Dargah Hazratbal Shrine, Aali Masjid Downtown, Dast-e-Geer Sahib Shrine, and Khanqah-e-Maula, among others. A large congregation of devotees gathered at the iconic Hazratbal Shrine on the banks of Dal Lake in Kashmir to offer prayers, including former chief ministers of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state – Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, and Mehbooba Mufti.
